Nonprofit professionals with at least two years of experience in the nonprofit sector will benefit from this comprehensive curriculum in fundraising best practices. An AFP master instructor will explain the elements necessary for a successful fund-development plan, and participants will work with an assigned mentor to develop a fund-development plan for their organization.
The Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership created a program to support individuals who work in and manage fundraising operations at nonprofit organizations. Twelve professionals with direct fundraising operations experience in various nonprofit subsectors, from around the country, were engaged to design this unique program. For added convenience, the Center developed online courses that allow individuals to learn from the most experienced professionals in the field while sitting at their desks. Each interactive course is conducted over two days, in two-hour sessions, and includes exercises, discussions and worksheets to demonstrate mastery of the course content.
The Leadership Institute for Nonprofit Executives (LINE) program consists of nine modules, two electives and a practicum. The entire program can be completed in less than a year.
The Center engaged seven practicing nonprofit CFOs representing health and human services, arts and culture, education, and healthcare along with five tax and audit professionals and five nonprofit finance scholars from around the country to design this unique program.
